3:16 SF Marathon

Yesterday, I finished marathon #38 since 2005.
Running started as a college ritual. My first marathon came at the end of a cross-country road trip from Atlanta to San Francisco.
Then came ten years at Google: more than 35 marathons, half marathons, ultras, triathlons, and 200-mile relays.
The next ten years looked very different: startups, COVID, becoming a dad. Just 3 races.
Running faded into the background.
Yesterday felt less like a comeback and more like reopening a conversation.
The body is different. The recovery is slower. But I understand training, health, and intention better than I did twenty years ago.
Back then, I had a stronger engine and almost no map.
Let’s see how far it can take me.
